Can i get some input on a good place to buy palm kernel solid or palm kernel flakes .

Do the palm kernel flakes still contain a high level of saturated fats? If so what % sat. fats are they? And can anyone tell me the melting temp. Is the melting point higher than tallow or coconut butter ? I am a newbe to soap so please bare with me. Thanks this is a very helpful forum.

when putting together your ingredients do you use scale weight or a measuring cup? For instance will lye at 1 once in a measuring cup will weight less than oil at one once on a scale???

when you start weighing your oil, lye, and water do you weigh the superfat also in your calculation? my superfat will be high I plan on making a bait soap about 20-25% 5lbs oil 1lb superfat another question is can you add the superfat at the start of the process when melting the oils...
