    Bad soap weekend...

    I used fine sea salt from the grocery store..nothing fancy..it smells good, doesn't look too bad..just oozy..we'll see what happens after a few days..I still have hope for those..the soap..not so much..lol

    What an awful weekend..my salt bars are oozing..and my soap(although it smells amazing) has turned from a beautiful 'seafoam' green to a not so beautiful vomit green..errrr! Well played soap gods..well played!

    I used rosehips,spirulina and the yellowish is just the batch color. One of the girls I work with said it looked like a sandwich..lol

    I'm looking for a recipe that will give me a white bar..i'm wanting to do peppermint for Christmas. I also would like some input for a deep red color..I would like to keep it natural if possible. Love all the advice you all have shared. Thanks everyone!

    umm..did my post show up?? not sure if it did..so here it is again Castor .80oz CO 4.8oz OO 6.4oz Tallow 4.0oz Lye 2.265oz Liquid 5.28oz I'm having a hard time finding Castor and will have to order it in..also I've never used tallow before..so hoping it works!

    I'm scared to add too much EO to my soap..is there such a thing as adding too much? I just want the smell to be stronger without overpowering.

    Thanks girls..I did slice off a bit to try..and so far it's good. I'll have to learn to be patient. Not something I'm good at apparently :D

    Cure time

    I have discovered that I am a very impatient person. Is there a way to speed up cure time? I have a hard time waiting the first 24 hours after molding!
