I wasn't sure if I qualified yet for participating in challenges.

    Beeswax in Soap

Do you use any additives like sorbitol or sugar and a chelator?

    Beeswax in Soap

I have been wondering for the last few days about what temperature you soap at with soy wax. I have been toying around with trying a palm free recipe. I was using lard but some family members were icked by that. Hate using palm because of the orangutans but I can make some nice designs with it...

    Watermelon Modified Luna Swirl

So, first off, I really love the FO on this. I used BB Watermelon Sugar and it behaved very well. Didn't slow down trace but did not accelerate it. I used nurture soaps force of nature for the neon green, mad micas flirt with a smidgen of NS material girl, Snake island and Winter White. I didn't...

    Rain drops

The FO was easy to work with. I had to wait for the batter to thicken to medium trace before I poured it. Scent wise, I'll have to take a sniff when I get home to think of something I can compare it to.

    Delicate swirl

Thank you everyone for the feedback. I can try explaining what I did to get when I get back home, don't knownif I will do it justice. I was thinking about setting up a YouTube channel or doing on Instagram eventually so i can share how I'm doing some of these better.

    Rain drops

Can't tell from the picture well but the bluish teal color has a great sheen to it.

    Rain drops

I think this is considered a drop swirl but had fun doing this. I used BB Coastal rains FO and spilt the batter into 4 equal parts. I used Mad Micas Snow white, Aphrodite, Twilight Blue and Peacock for the colors. Didn't do a good job of beating down the mold after everything was poured so...

    Beeswax in Soap

I was really hoping @Sting would reply since he's using it in his soaps too. I am going to check out that thread and look at some of nonas stuff too.

    Beeswax in Soap

I am getting some bees this Saturday, super excited to start my bee keeping journey. I am trying to think of some ways to incorporate some beeswax or honey potentially into some soap. Now from what I have been reading seems like there's some mixed reactions to it. I was thinking of adding...

Awww, thank you! I'm still constantly learning and experimenting.

    Delicate swirl

I probably phrased it wrong but what I meant by a cyclone was to describe the spiraling motion I did with the hanger tool.

    Delicate swirl

Thank you 2lilboots! Don't be afraid, I like to use it to enhance my colors. I used like half 1/64 of a tsp for the yellow portion. So the tiniest amount. Here's a pic inside where it's a bit more true to how it looks in person.

    Delicate swirl

Really like how this turned out. I need to make a light box asap. I'm using the noon sun and everything looks more yellow than it really is. The pink isn't washed out and yellow are more subtle in person. Used BB Pink Grapefruit, Mad Micas Ballet slipper(10% batter), Bright yellow rain coat...

Making Minecraft-based soap: help with colorants

I like to add neon pigments to micas to enhance yellow and orange since they kinda get muted. The con with using pigments is that they are much harder to incorporate 100%. I like to predisprese them in oil and mix them very well, then add it to my batter. If tou think you've mixed them enough...

    Business Name

Thank you everyone for your input. I've decided to go with my gut and now filing my dba as Buttercup Rebels today. It feels right for me and think its a great name for selling other products too like my stained glass art eventually and maybe some honey (depending on licensing) or dipped...

I think that is the most adorable nickname. I can see why you used it for your business too.

    Business Name

It's a really hard decision in general. I know I could always rebrand down the road if I needed to but don't want to waste time and money to do that. It's been a very polarizing name with the closest people around me. People seem to either love it or hate it. The people who know me best thinks...

    Business Name

I appreciate the honesty because I do like the name but it's just not right. I haven't been able to pull the trigger on any developmental plans like logos etc because of the name. I do like the idea of incorpating part of the name in the logo pic though. I haven't been able to put into words...
