This is very interesting! I’ll try it. These are actually Goat Milk Bars and I try to avoid Gel Phase altogether. I may try and warm the room for the next batch to see if it reaches the edges. The room is around 58-62 degrees all the time.

Hello fellow Soapers! This has cured for 10 days now in a well ventilated cool area. This was a corner loaf and I’m wondering if this will go away once it is fully cured. This was a 50lb pour in a square HDPE mold. Any thoughts?

I have made this recipe twice now, mixing at different temperatures. I seem to keep getting the same spots. I mixed this time at 105-10. Recipe is made of Olive, Coconut, Palm and Shea Butter… along with three essential oil blends. Can anybody tell me what the best way to avoid these spots is?

I wipe the strings each time. It is like the middle is brittle and I was thinking maybe too much Honey. I think I’ll try a bit less

I use a wire cutter. Also, 45 grams for this is right about normal. Also, I grind the oats to specs so they are very small.

With new regulations on most sellers in the U.S. it’s going to be very difficult to get fresh goats milk that include lot codes for tracking. For this reason starting in 2025 most will have to use powdered.

I know this thread is about 2 years old but I have a question along the same lines. I’m noticing a lot of Companies advertising soaps that are for eczema, like Bend Soap. Ive always thought ans read that this now makes it a drug therefore needing FDA approval. Am I missing something?
