    Chocolate soap

I have seen people use raw cocoa butter and cocoa powder to colour their soap and they say that it smells like chocolate. I think adding good quality chocolate FO would be good along with the other two ingredients.

How are you offsetting the cost of Olive Oil?

I think that rice bran oil would be a good choice and you could reduce the percentage of butters a bit too. High oleic sunflower and high oleic canola oil would be good too. If these are not available then you should use canola oil and increase the percentage of butters in your recipe. Add salt...

Looking for a good soap recipe with these oils:

Unfortunately, sunflower oil probably won't work. The fatty acid profile is what really matters. Regardless of that, thank you for your help.

Newbie question about cleaning your tools

Welcome to the forum. I don't clean cartons/cans used as molds, if any soap batter spills on it I just wipe it off immediately. Containers used for mixing and measuring the lye solution and lye, I rinse them as soon as they are used and later wash them like usual with soap and water. As for the...

Looking for a good soap recipe with these oils:

Thank you. Soy wax might be available. It would dissolve in water very quickly and was quite drying even though I used a 7% super fat. The qualities of the soap that the soap calculator gave me told that the INS and iodine values were not in the range and indicated the bar of soap was soft...

not sure if my soap has too much oil

I should be fine the way it is. It has quite a lot of oil high in lauric acid so the 10% super fat will compensate for the drying effect of the soap. It won't be oily.
