What is your favorite mint EO blend?

I love rosemary mint twist too! I just made some soap with this blend and ran out of rosemary, so I used some tea tree, and it smells fantastic!

What soapy thing have you done today?

I actually MADE SOAP today! I’ve only made one batch since last summer. Life and living circumstances have made it hard. But fun to get back into it! No colorant, scented with bergamot, lime and lemongrass EOs.

I make a rosemary mint soap using EO calc’s blend. I add green sea clay and a little spirulina for the green.

What soapy thing have you done today?

I made mojito soap tonight, and I had no idea what design I was going to do until I actually started making it. I used peppermint, lime, litsea and tangerine essential oils, I used spirulina and a little bentonite clay for color. I was going to hanger swirl, but it seems like I’ve been doing...

Please advise on eo in CP soap

Just chiming in to agree with the others—there are certain EOs that stick better than others, and EOcalc is awesome!

True confessions and help needed… Patchouli

Ugh, I hate patchouli! I had a little 30ml bottle that I inherited from someone and I decided to use it in a blend with orange, litsea and ginger and all I could smell was the patchouli! And now there must be a little bit in my essential oil bin, because I keep getting it on my fingers! Never again!

What soapy thing have you done today?

A little more of the rose clay and it would have been meat soap! I feel like I dodged a bullet. Calling this one wild rose, it’s got rosewood, vetiver, petitgrain, clary sage, litsea and cedarwood EOs. It was supposed to be drop swirl, but that didn’t work out, so I hanger swirled it.

What soapy thing have you done today?

I have been seriously MIA these past months—stuck in hockey mom land! I just made a camo hunter’s soap today and can’t wait to see what it looks like!! I used spirulina and green sea clay for the lighter green, spirulina and charcoal for the darker green, charcoal for black and cocoa powder for...

What soapy thing have you done today?

Ok, my ginger turmeric soap is in the mold. I was inspired by a turmeric latte mix I had, so I added 2 Tbsp of that to the essential oils. The mix has turmeric, coconut milk powder, coconut sugar, cayenne pepper and black pepper (very small amounts of these.) I used orange, litsea, lemon...

    New little man

OMG I love him! 😍 We had a rescue pitbull and she was the best dog ever!!! She died almost 3 years ago and I still miss her so much. And yes, she snored!

What soapy thing have you done today?

I have been lacking motivation to make soap lately. It's been months. But I have the house to myself this weekend and I'm working up to making a turmeric-ginger-honey soap this evening or tomorrow. I'm also going to make some sourdough bread (which I have been unmotivated to make as well!)

    Shea butter questions

I use unrefined from Baraka Shea, and I think the smell is pleasant (I definitely don’t smell feet or death.) I don’t notice it coming through the finished soap.

What soapy thing have you done today?

Attempted to make a one pot wonder today, but my batter really thickened up. I'm sure it's not what I envisioned, but hopefully it comes out with a cool design!

What soapy thing have you done today?

Ok, I was going to get some tins, but decided I'm going to try little kraft paper pillow boxes.
