Hello. I have a half loaf of soap that I didn't cut and now it is so hard! I don't know how I am going to cut it.
Any tips? I really need to get some bars of this particular batch cut.
TIA
Kelly
I made a batch of soap. The color looks great - smells wonderful - it crumbles/falls apart..
Has this happened to anyone else? If so, What causes this?
I had a little Braun stick blender but it was all plastic. Lasted up until this last month and I had to go buy another. This one is all stainless except for the handle so I'm hoping it last a long, long time.
Hello! You will love the Miller site! I have used many of Kathy's recipes and tweaked them a little - they are great!
My first batch was actually a kit I bought from Lavender Lane. It had everything. The oil, lye, lavender buds, mold and full instructions. After that batch I was hooked.
Welcome!
Do you have supplies for your first batch or are you still researching?
Once you make that first batch - there's no going back. It is addicting!

Surely I will. I just use a basic soap recipe like this one I got from Miller Soaps. http://millersoap.com/
44 oz. beef tallow
20 oz. olive oil
20 oz. coconut oil
12 oz. lye crystals
32 oz. cold water - (you can substitute double strength coffee)
At trace I just add some coffee...
Hey Paul! Thanks for the welcome!
Sounds like a plan! My son and daughter in law live in Springfield so I'm down there quite a bit. I would love to meet up with you and your wife and talk/swap soap!
I live in a smaaaaallllllllllllll town (Bland) about 25 minutes from Rolla.
