    Curing rack materials

I'm not sure where you are, but I picked up some plastic kitchen sink liners from the dollar store that I put on my drying racks and it has worked out great for me.

sounds like a partial gel to me. i put my towels that i insulate my soap with in the oven on warm while i make my soap, when i pour the soap into the mold i cover it and then use the warm towels to insulate. that seems to help my soap out since i live in a fairly cool climate area, even in the...

Looking for article about a little boy badly burned with lye

Wow - a story like that makes me sit up and take notice how relaxed I've become around lye. I still use the proper precautions, but have been bringing the room temp lye into the kitchen from the garage when ready to make the soap. I will have to be much more careful. I sometimes wear my...

    problems with ash?

    problems with ash?

The Difference between an early bar of soap...

Oh I really wish I had done that. It is so true, I can really tell the difference in my soaps I made even a year ago. I just hit a milestone the other day and can actually feel a diffence even when making the soap now. I used to get ash all the time, but don't so much anymore.
