oops, my poor soap looks ill lol

Just out of curiosity, what's the brand of the mold? Maybe it's a certain brand that does it cause my silicone mold doesn't do that....but I was going to make a blood orange soap...maybe I should buy that mold! LOL

    Thoughts on soap calc ranges

Sorry, I'm new to the soapcalc site and trying to plug in everything in each box can make someone go crazy when you keep resetting the page. soapcalc was calculating 41 oz of oils while MMS was calculating 32 oz which is what I wanted. I did it again on soapcalc and they were the same.

    Thoughts on soap calc ranges

I also am a little confused with soapcalc's site! I used soapcalc and the sage lye calc and they came out wit a difference of 1.5 oz of lye for the same recipe! Which do I use??? soapcalc had the higher lye amount with an additional 3 oz of water. Wouldn't that just make it take longer to cure?

Not smooth at...

    sopanification? does yours get hotter?

Thanks! I'm going to give this a shot. I've never had to do it before and I never changed anything from this batch so aside from the the manufacturer changing its FO ingredients, I don't know what it could be! Wish me luck!

    sopanification? does yours get hotter?

So I've been having problems with a FO. It keeps burning out on me! I was told that the FO burned off at a low temp and to mix lye and oil at around 105. I did that and poured them into a loaf mold. But when it's sitting in the mold it gets to the gel phase and gets really hot! I have a feeling...
