    I created my first original recipe and scent the first of July thought I'd share some pictures I am very happy, used a half gallon milk carton for a mold.

    I am going to experiment with some GM powder, Strawberry Powder and some herbs from my garden :)

    newbie question

    It helped me to learn a little more by taking the temps at first, the desired range is for your mixture to be 90-110F usually all that takes is adding your lye water to your oils :)

    I used Coconut Caribe from Southern Soapers and it worked really well. Smells a lot like real coconut.

    First time cp soap making

    My first recipe came from Anne Watson's http://www.annelwatson.com/soapmaking/index.html Book 10.5 oz Coconut oil 10.5 oz olive oil 9 oz shea butter 8 oz distilled water 4.2 oz lye 0.6 fragrance(optional) it turned out wonderfully:)

    thinking about using this as a mold whadda ya think?

    Just an update I used a round silicone made from the same material as the loaf pan and it worked wonderfully! It has been my best batch yet. The only down side other than it being round is it's tendency to hold the FO, so that could be an issue. It was SUPER easy to unmold, it popped right out.

    It's actually a regular sized loaf pan like you would cook some pumpkin bread or meatloaf. Bread, meatloaf, it's just like a normal loaf pan same size. Remind me not to ask anymore questions, for now on I'll just experiment myself, I can do without the references.

    Just curious, it is suppose to be really good for acne and am tempted to get some and try it.

    it isn't intended for soap it is a Tupperware Silicone Loaf pan with easy release. I am a Tupperware consultant so have easy access to these pans for pretty cheap.

    Where do you let your soap cure

    That is AWESOME! Thanks for sharing! That will help me out a lot. I think I saw something similar at Target the other day.
