    My Black "Test"

That is a gorgeous soap! I love the black... I'm thinking I need some licorice scent for it though. LOL The idea of using paste food coloring is great! If black doesn't stain, the other colors might not either. Yay!!

You're most welcome. I found a lot of the information good, even if it is about one company.

    A good article to read

I had a friend send me this link. It goes to an article that was written about a soap company in England, but the information in it is for anyone who's starting or thinking about starting in the soap business. Enjoy! http://www.littlecotesoap.co.uk/files/c ... dec_08.pdf The author and...

    Canadian Government Regulations

Yes, thank you so very much Lindy! I had no idea I would have to register my little soaps in order to sell them. LOL I wonder how many others out there selling at craft shows and farmer's markets actually do this. ;)

My Soap Business - Can't do it.

Thank you all for giving me a bit more information on this business. For now at least, I shall stick with MP soaps. Will I have to submit recipes for that or is it only for CP and HP? I know about the insurance and will have it in place when I get going. There is so much to make sure you have...

    Hi from spain...

That's such a cool look. I have an idea I'd like to make some thin soaps like crackers and stack them like that. I think they'd be great for guests. :) Thanks for the idea!

    Hi from Ontario

Thanks Gracie, for the information and the encouragement. I actually have a business admin diploma from DeVry, so I have a good idea about a lot of the business part of things. I've also had a few businesses over the years, which has helped me learn more. :) The bit of research I've done in this...

My Soap Business - Can't do it.

Wow. After reading this, I'm depressed and I don't even live in the States! LOL I'll be sticking with MP soaps so that I don't have to contend with this sort of thing. I'm sure Alberta, and this town, have all sorts of things they can bring into play unless I keep it as simple as possible. Like...

What made you pick your avatar/ username?!

:D Well, for goodness sake, Lindy! I was working for the glass plant back when all that name stuff happened. I have family all through the Okanagan, although I've been living in Alberta since mid-'84. We may have even met at some point... you never know. LOL

Hello and welcome from Alberta. The people here are friendly, so ask away! Also, everyone loves to have a look at what others are producing, so if you want to, show off your soaps. :)

    New to Soapmaking

Hi and welcome from Alberta. Once you get going, it's difficult to stop. I'm amazed at all of the different soaps that people concoct too. Some are so gorgeous, it's difficult imagining anyone using them! Have fun, ask questions, and let your imagination carry you away. Soaping is a very...

    Hi

Welcome from Alberta. I love your blog. That honey soap looks delicious. I take it you lined the mold with bubble wrap? It sure gave it an interesting look! :)

    Hi from spain...

Wow! What gorgeous soap pictures. I am sorry I don't speak Spanish. I'm curious about the soaps that look like crackers in a package. (Jabón de Aloe Vera) Are they thin soaps or is it one bar with ridges on the sides? All of your soaps look fantastic!

    Hello from SW Washington State

Hi Jan! Welcome from Alberta. This is a really friendly and nice place to learn and talk to people. If you're interested in swapping, I've noticed there are a few swaps that take place here. They look like fun and I'm thinking I'd like to get in on one. Just thought I'd mention them in case you...

    Hi from Ontario

Thanks Gracie. Right now I'm trying to do a business plan to borrow a bit of money. The hardest part of the thing is figuring out what the possible income is and what my so-called "market share" will be. LOL There are so many soap makers and every one makes a completely different product from...

    Yet another introduction

Welcome Jamie! Your "other hobby" sounds like it would be really interesting and fun as well. Hotter, and certainly dirtier, than soap, but fun just the same. I wonder if any crafter ever settles for just one craft. LOL
