    Crisco in soap?

I used Crisco to make soap when I was starting out. It makes lovely soap and I've never experienced DOS using it. Many moons ago I remember buying the store version of Crisco and that did go rancid but I've never had a problem with the name brand stuff.

I posted some items on FB for half what I paid for them but then started thinking that there was a better way. I have been selling my remaining inventory of plastic bottles...

    Cylinder PVC Molds

I don't even cap the bottom. I just double wrap with saran wrap and use rubber bands and some shipping tape to close the one end. Put the pipe into one of my plastic juice pitchers that I use for lye and wrap the part that's in the pitcher with a junky old towel. I leave the top portion...

    Beeswax cream like on market

I made some the other day Zany and it is pretty nice. I subbed evening primrose oil for the infused olive oil which gave it a slightly less oily feel.

    Beeswax cream like on market

YouTube video with recipe: 1 cup olive oil, 1/2 cup coconut oil, 1/2 cup beeswax, 1/2 tsp. vitamin e and 20 drops eo Melt ingredients and then as it cools, stir briskly every 15 minutes. And here is a sort of novel approach to making this without the stirring part (but the same recipe).

    Longest lasting EOs

I can vouch for the staying power of tea tree eo. I made a tea tree with charcoal soap about two years ago and I still have a few bars - can definitely still smell the tea tree.
