hi I made some soap the other day everything was great after trace added rose fragrance and it immediatly riced I have tried re batch and stirring like mad but no success any one have any ideas apart from binning this batch ?:idea:

just wondering totally agree, dont think that we should start having sep sub forums as we couldnt bounce ideas or suggestions with other countries . I have now tried fresh skin and mystic moments and must say that of the 2 i prefer mystic moments fragrances , I dont make large batches of soap...

thanks I have just made a really pretty soap with lard and coconut oil and have rounded down on the lye and up on the fats will let you know how it turns out thanks again you are such a helpful lot :razz:

thanks for that - it really dosnt seem that there is a uk equlivant as just had a look at all our fats available in the supermarket oh well! I really like the lard soap recipes so will continue using that as cheap and plentiful thanks isg :thumbup:

Hi what exactly is Crisco? Is there a UK alternative? as I see a lot of recipes with Crisco in and just wondering if there is anything I could use in my soap as we cant get this here, Is it like Trex? Also regarding Measuring I must be thick as still have not got this right can anyone recommend...

why not start with a lard soap? also i buy my lye on bay as not able to find this in any local shops i think its 6.99

there is no where near me that sells soap making equipment that I know of so I buy all mine on line , but I would not buy from soap kitchen or just a soap as their delivery costs are quite high, where is bookers?
