Hmmm I hadnt thought of that. I measured out both batches at the same time, and prepped the lye water for both ahead of time. It's definitely possible. I will change out the batteries in my scale to be sure. Thanks!

Hey Fellow Soapers, I must admit that I haven't made soap or posted in a long while, had a few bad batches in a row that destroyed my confidence. Got some new FO's for my bday and was feeling inspired. Now I remember why I used to do this :grin:

I also started out with a pyrex pitcher for my lye water solution. I now use a stainless steel milk frothing pitcher that I found on amazon for like 15$. While I love it, it gets super hot, so I know always put it in an ice bath.

I too like using the pipette method although that shot glass method looks a lot quicker:). I had trouble with the elastic band; I couldn't for the life of me get all my tubes level with it. Thank god I only make a handful at a time.
