Spectrum shortening (100% hydrogenated palm oil) - experiences?
For me the palm oil does speed up trace faster than lard or bear tallow. I don’t use more than 20% palm oil in my recipes.- Terri E

Spectrum shortening (100% hydrogenated palm oil) - experiences?
Yes, it is definitely pricey for use in soap. This is the brand I use if I need shortening in baking. I generally don’t use much palm in my soap recipes but upon occasion I make a soap with palm. I much prefer beef tallow, bear tallow and lard😊- Terri E
