    Thoughts on labels?

Carolyn -thanks for the clarification. I have just seen Saponified Oils of ----- so often I thought it was legal. Here, since we have to use INCI, lye is not included on the label as we label what is in the end product and since that includes naturally occurring glycerin at 7% it does go on...

    A Cream Soap Tutorial

Stearic Acid is the bones of Cream Soap. I don't know what you will end up with. BTW when using stearic add it to your oils to melt.

    Honeysuckle

I've used Honeysuckle from NG and it really is a nice one.

    Thoughts on labels?

The emphasis on the name with the splash of colour looks wonderful. I think it is what is left in the soap once finished. In the US you can also put Saponified oils of --------

    Thoughts on labels?

Look good and I agree about making your name more visible. I would like to point out (even though it's not for sale) that Sodium Hydroxide does not need to be on the label unless it is lye heavy there is no lye left in the soap

Did some of the oil... evaporate?

Welcome back! I agree with everything Susie said but I would like to add something. Measure using grams rather than ounces as there is less chance of big mistakes when measuring since it is so much more accurate.

Milk Soap for toddler and adult with Eczema?

I have a client with eczema that also cracks his hands. I make a Pine Tar & Lanolin bar (other ingredients of course) and he swears by it for helping.

question about EO, safety and reactions in soap

Most cats are okay in large areas with eos but the thing to remember with them is that they need a way to get out of the room with the eos because it can overpower them. But I had somehow misunderstood the original post. Part of my aromatherapy training included cats because they are soooo...

Milk Soap for toddler and adult with Eczema?

I must be strange but I do see a difference between my goat milk soap and my non-milk soap. I absolutely love milk soaps including coconut milk... I think the most luxurious bar I ever made had GM, Half & Half Cream, Buttermilk, Coconut Milk, & Yogurt in it. It was a challenge soap on another...

question about EO, safety and reactions in soap

Essential oils in general are not good for cats as they metabolize things completely different from humans and even dogs. You can end up poisoning them really easily. If you want fragrance I am going to recommend Fragrance Oils instead of Essential Oils.

    Goat Milk Lotion Tutorial

I would recommend trying Shea Butter instead of Cocoa Butter as Cocoa Butter is a "dryer" butter. Some essential oils can break emulsification or reverse it a bit. So if you want to use that eo then I recommend adding stearic acid at 3%. But with other scents you may want to stay with the...

Milk Soap for toddler and adult with Eczema?

As far as allergies go, every ingredient has someone allergic to it which is why proper and complete labeling is just sooooooo important. I'm a bit of a fanatic about labeling because it really is that important. Steps off "soap" box.
