TKB's non-cosmetic red neon bleeds in CP in my experience. I agree, Conservatorie's Hot Pink is very good and it doesn't bleed. The pink in this soap is Raspberry red mica from Nurture Soap Supplies:

I'm curious, what is the chemistry behind this reaction? Why would adding more water to the cooled lye solution heat it up again?

I cure them for at least 8 weeks before use. Age does wonders for salt bars. Maybe wait a while and try again.

sea salt soap bars, both ungelled on the left - with powdered milk, on the right - without it

100% coconut oil, 16% SF, 70% sea salt, scented with TSW's Tonic.

WSP blue 1 lake (Crafters Choice Bath Bomb Blue Powder Color), 2 mini-scoops like this mixed in 200 gr of oil. For the white swirl I used some Satin Pearl mica. P.S. This is CP soap - in HP it stays blue.

Susie, DeeAnna, wouldn't the addition of sodium lactate to a potassium soap produce the sodium soap and potassium lactate? :?: I'm not sure but I think that sodium ions (Na+), regardless of whether they come from table salt, or SL, or NaOH, will replace the potassium ions (K+), at least...

I usually use CO plus PKO for a total of 30% bubbly oils. I superfat at 8-10%. I've never had anyone say that my soap was drying.

In my experience, water-dispersible TD accelerates trace.
