I add my lavender buds at trace and they do turn brown (mouse poo) over time but my mold is sectioned off into 18 bars so I don't have to cut the soaps so I don't have a problem with the buds making the lines.

I was thinking of adding salt to one of my soap recipes and was wondering when to add it. Should I do this at trace and how much? I saw a post about this previously but can't seem to find it.

I used unrefined shea in my soaps 25% and I have never been able to smell it. I also make Whipped Shea and once you add the fragrance, you can't smell the shea butter.
