My pomace soaps cream, too. I've never gotten a green color when I use it. I can't remember the brand name off hand, I'll have to check when I get home, but I get it in big 3L metal containers for $9.99. ETA: The brand I use is Messina. It comes in a green metal tin.

Mine come to me all in an unsealed plastic bag. Hence, I sanitize :D I would imagine if they were in sealed packaging, they should be sterile.

Fail! On the spur of the moment, I decided to make a lilac scented soap tonight. Since lilac fo is known to accelerate trace, I used a recipe high in OO to try to minimize the chance of seizing. This was my recipe: 9.6 oz water 5.15 oz lye 32 oz olive pomace 4 oz castor oil 4 oz PKO...

If the soap in the individual molds didn't gel (which is common), it may be lighter in color and could take a bit longer to harden. You shouldn't need to rebatch or anything. Let it cure and see how it turns out!

Thank you! Apparently, the black raspberry vanilla fo doesn't actually have any vanilla in it! It doesn't discolor.
