    100% Coconut 20% SF Soap

Outragous I hate it when I see what these places charge for raw mats. Phone your local Bakery Supply houses. You can get all your basic oils there for about a dollar a lb and save on freighting big containers across the country. Palm, Palm Kernal, Coconut (they usually have several kinds)...

Gramma Judy not all my soaps are that method, I like everyone else here started making soap the conventional way and waited for the bar to cure hard. I have customers for both. My customers also get to try their soap in the store before they buy it. We have testing stations set up for them...

The zodiac bars are cp, they came out a really pretty pink. I use mica only for colorant for everything even my bombs. It costs a bit more but its so user friendly. Tuff to get a true red or a blue that is stable though. Thanx again for your comments. I load some of the shower jelly pics...

    Salt Bar question please....

You're right.. Any cp soap will reach those temps on their own, but not as fast. This method shoots the temps within maybe 10 mins. Depending on the recipe the soap is completely ready for use by the next morning. The variable is water content for the most part. Some recipes especially CTCP...

    Salt Bar question please....

Quick cure Process I had responded in detail and then got called away as I was writing and was 'timed out' . When I went to send it was lost. I will be back this afternoon and explain the process in detail. Pilot error....didn't know that could happen. Sorry for the delay Sygrid

    Salt Bar question please....

From what I have read here you want lye/water at room temp to keep the salt from dissolving. Does the high content of salt in the recipe affect the cure time? Less cure time would be a really good answer. I do make floating cp at room temp but cure time is a killer. I will admit to being...

    Accelerating - Seizing, what's the diff ?

Soap that accelerates very quickly or even 'seized' batches can be saved, don't throw them out. If you are using an 'untried' FO keep a pot on the stove at the 'ready' in case it seizes your batch. Just HP it. It doesn't behave exactly like a regular HP batch, it's much quicker to go to...
