    M&P lines??

Quick question for all the M&P folks.....how do I not get the lines from pouring layers of the same color (for imbeds)? I've tried spritzing the first layer (as well as the imbed) with alcohol before pouring the second layer....but I still get the line!?! :? Thanks! ~Becky

    Liquid Fabric Softener

I use plain white vinegar in the wash. I have a 6 month old puppy who is not fully house trained yet. She still wets her crate blankets occasionally. The vinegar is wonderful for getting all the urine smell out of her blankets....leaves them smelling fresh. I just add a cup to the washer, then...

    My new foster

Thank you! The breeder I got her from called her coloring 'harlequin'....but my friend (the vet) said she's a cross between a single dapple and a piebald, and that there is realy no such pattern (the harlequin) in doxies (I tend to defer to the vet of 30 years for this kind of info! :D ) It...

    Wine soap

I've used red wine in my soap before. When I mixed the lye into it...it turned an ugly muddy brown color and smelled awful!!! The whole house reaked for days!!! But after it cured, I've got this lovely maroon/burgundy color. I say go for it...just ignore the color of the lye water (or lye...

    Source for Palm Oil

You are absolutely right!!! :) I should have been a little more clear. :P The 'organic all veggie shortning' that I purchase lists the ingedients as palm oil and nothing else. That's why I mentioned checking the label for ingredients!

    Source for Palm Oil

I get mine at my local Kroger. It's a 24 oz tub of Spectrum (brand name) organic all veggie shortning. It's in the 'health food' section of the store. I pay $5.15 for the tub. I have found that not all Kroger stores have it, though! I have also seen the same brand at Whole Foods for $6.98 a...

    camomile tea

I've used 'Sweet Dreams' herbal tea before in place of my water. It's a blend of Chamomile, hibiscus, peppermint leaves, rose blossoms, spearmint leaves, and orange blossoms. I also added a little dried tea from a few tea bags. It turned the soap a very pale greenish/tan color and it had a very...
