    Lotion Recipe

I haven't tried cornstarch yet. Almost all the recipes have been playing with the oils and butters. I tried whipping the last one, but the recipe wasn't the best for it, and it didn't work. I'm hoping the shea butter recipe will whip better and possibly be lighter.

    Lotion Recipe

I guess I'm looking for a body butter that just isn't so greasy and absorbs relatively quickly. In my head, I clump them all in the same place. I'm trying to stay away from the emulsifiers and preservatives, as I've had a lot of skin issues and the stuff w/o that sort of thing is what helps...

    Lotion Recipe

Okay, I'm looking for some help! I've been trying to make a lotion that I like for the last three years. I've found things that work, but they are so heavy I can't wear them except at night. So, does anyone have a recipe they'd be willing to share for something light that is more the...

    Single Use Soap "snowflakes"

freezing is next on my list to try. Right now I think I've just got to get the thickness right, then I'll try that! At the moment, the mold is really flexible, and I lay them flat, soap side down and basically roll back the mold. It works 50% of the time. One of them is a bit more open than the...

    Single Use Soap "snowflakes"

They're made on a sugar veil mat for cupcake decorations. I'm still working on the best way to get them out - sometimes my method is fine, sometimes they're all breaking. :)

    Single Use Soap "snowflakes"

Made some of these today - I'm quite pleased with how they turned out! They're vanilla scented. They're clear glycerin (Going to make the next batch with goats milk M&P) so they're a bit hard so see - hence the tin background.

    Debating Cupcake soaps

Ok. I would like to make some cupcake soaps, and I'm planning to make some CP ones, but I wondered if there is a way to make the frosting from M&P or if it has to have the foaming soap in it. I hope that question makes sense - its a bit late and I'm not sure I am!

    Rebatching question

Okay. I did the rebatch on Sunday, adding the missing olive oil and a couple tablespoons of milk, cooking it down until fully melted, then cooking until the edges were translucent, and then cooking for a couple hours after. The color never changed, the texture was like thin mashed potatoes, and...

    2 new CP soaps!

I like them both! The stripes seem pretty, but I actually like the confetti soap. It almost looks like granite. :)

    Swirl attempt...

And the result! I believe it has glycerin rivers (only in the middle three pieces though... not sure why), but it isn't too bad considering how fast it set up and it was a first attempt. I'll take it!

    Rebatching question

Thanks! I figured it would only be a little, if any. We'll try it and see, I guess!

    Swirl attempt...

Today I tried a swirl (and made sure I put ALL the ingredients in!). Here's the inital pic of the soap - I wish now I'd only used one color, as the second got more blue grey than I intended. It also accelerated quickly, so I'm not sure how well it swirled, but tomorrow, we will see! (sorry...
