Will powdered honey or stevia make sticky body butter?

I have seen edible recipes with powdered honey, but be aware that stuff can get sticky. I have never noticed any kind of stickiness with stevia powder though.

    Coloring Issue

Yeah, no way around that unless you change your base oils unfortunately. Is there any particular reason you are using unrefined oils or is that just what you have access to?

    Making my first HP!

Looks good! Looks like you are well on your way to a new kind of soaping addiction LOL! I like the rustic look of hp too. I do mostly hp, but sometimes I get swirl envy and have to do some cp LOL! With HP I love that I can make a little ball of soap from the scrapings of the pot after the...

    Sensitive Skin

I started soap making because my twin girls, like me, have very sensitive skin. We don't have any problems with colorants (FDC's Oxides, ultramarines etc), but one of my dd's can't use any products with clays in them...clay makes her skin red inflamed and itchy. Also we have to keep the coconut...

I made pine tar soap 1 time. Unfortunately the smell was too strong for me...quite nauseating actually. After I unmolded and cut them I tried to let them just set out for a day or so, but I couldn't stand the smell, so I boxed them up and put them out in the garage somewhere. That was a couple...

    Storing Micas and Powders

I have that Raskog cart from Ikea too! I use it in my paper crafting room! I absolutely LOVE it! At any rate, I transfer everything that comes in a bag to a container, and slap a label on it so I know what's inside. So much easier to see what I have on hand at a glance.

    lye

I have ordered from The Lye guy as well and always good service and quick shipping. I don't mind the pellets, I had problems with the flake lye not dissolving for me one time when I was doing a 100% Coconut milk soap....I had chunks of undissolved lye in my finished soap. After that I was always...

    Crumbly Salt Soap

For regular cp soap, 24 hours is the normal cut time, but not for salt bars. They are in a class by themselves! ;)

Kitchen soap: Citrus blend or Coffee?

Just put my kitchen soap to bed. I did a one pound batch to use that lovely new small loaf mold dh got me from WSP! This one has Olive, Lard, Palm Coconut, Castor and Shea Butter. Coffee substituted for the water, Cofee grounds added at trace, scented with Orange EO, Lemongrass EO, Grapefruit...
