    Rub-on designs on cured soap?

There is a product out there called soap decal paper. There are a lot of places that carry it. Just google it. You put it into your injet printer and then apply it to soap. And as stated above M&P does not need to cure. You can use it right after it comes out of the mold. That's par of it's...

    Length of time in mold

You posted under M&P so I assume you are making melt and pour soap. You can leave you soap in the mold as long as you want. If you have trouble getting your soap out of the mold just pop it in the freezer and they will just slide right out.

    CP & Syndet Shampoo Bars

I don't think I could figure out the chemistry to make a combo CP and syndet poo bar. I would be afraid I would blow the kitchen up or waste a bunch of ingredients on the nasty lye monster. What are you thinking of adding to the CP soap?

Plastic molds a pain in the butt!

I only use individual plastic molds. I let mine set in the molds for 24-48 hours dependin on the formula. I find that I have to pull the edges away from the soap to get them to release and them I push them from the bottom. Sometimes I do have to put them in the freezer. I also use a water...

CP Soap going to trace immediately

I think the big problem was you only added 4% water. You either need to add frozen goat's milk in the beginning or goat's milk powder at trace. There was way to litle water to process the soap without seizing. Did you use any FO/EO? And what temps did you use?

What to cure your soaps on?

I use the big plastic trays that the bread companies use to deliver bread to grocery stores. I saw them in the back of the store by the dumpster and asked the manager if I could have them. I think he was so interested in my soap making he would have given me brand new ones.

This might be a silly question...

Just let them cure. I bet the oil will reabsorb. The FO accelerated your trace. I always wait a few weeks before I rebatch or pitch. Alot of good things can happen during the cure. I have had REALLY bad batches turn out ok after they have set for a while.

    Need for Emulsifiers and Preservatives

Please remember where you are putting the lotion. Even if it is just on your hands, you still put your hands on your mouth and eyes. I am a nurse and I have seen some really nasty infections, bacterial, fungal, etc. How long does it take bread to mold? Have you ever pulled a container from the...

    Keratosis pilaris

My husband has it BAD. Swift has a liquid syndet shower gel posted on her blog. I made it and used it on hubby. His skin was amazing after that. It has white willow bark extract in it. It has also helped my DS's acne too. Google swift crafty monkey and it will get you to her blog. I can never...

    I am an idiot.

It could have gelled. Was it translucent? It doesn't look like it overheated because it is so white. The addition of extra water is no big deal. It can make the soap soft but that can be cured out so I don't think you have a problem. And no it is not a problem if you mess up your first batch...

    Question about flavoring lip balms

Not to hijack the thread, but has anyone used the flavored stevia to flavor their lip balm? I am so lip balm challenged. I can never get m flavor and sweetener to stay suspended. I was thinking if I only had to use one it might be easier

how long do you need to wait for cp soap to cure...

I would wait at least 2 weeks. But even better would be 4-6 weeks. The longer it cures the less water there is in it and the so it will take more water during rebatching.
