    Yes, that's true about mineral oil as hmlove1218 wrote. Why not infuse jewelweed with some olive oil?

    Yikes! Just spent $270 at Sweet Cakes

    Aline, I've tried many of those fragrances you listed, especially jasmine, true rose, mango and warm vanilla sugar, and they are top notch. I'll admit that I'm partial to their Tuberose Deluxe -- it's so accurate! Happy Fragrancing! :)

    Appalling MP problems--only mine?

    Have you tried adding a drop or 2 of litsea cubeba EO [may chang] to your citrus soaps? This lemony smelling EO does a nice job of anchoring scents.

    List your very favorite Vanilla:

    Big fan of Sweetcakes Tahitian Vanilla [Primal Elements type]. Also, Warm Vanilla Sugar [MMS's is good, too]. SC also carries a White Vanilla which isn't prone to turning soap brown and it's pretty good but not like the Tahitian Vanilla.

    So, why do you prefer or use M&P over handmade bases?

    I recommend goat's milk base as it has phenomenal lather. Or, you could make your own by using standard white base and adding about 1 teaspoon [per pound] of powdered goat's milk.

    Baby shower favor soaps

    Congratulations on the new arrival! There are so many adorable soaps on this thread! Check with your supplier to make sure that the FO or EO used doesn't discolor.

    High Melt Point Shea Butter

    The HM shea butter is a big advantage in the summertime or in warm areas. Another advantage: no smell!
