None of the soaps I HP'd ever did the volcano or rise up and fold over thing but all of them turned out fine. So your batch is probably fine too, but doesn't hurt to make sure you followed the recipe accurately.

You will like the convenience a lot. Just make sure to portion out your oils in case you have too many hard oils and butters in the mix.

Misschief, I see that people here like their high lard recipes for slow tracers a lot, may be you could just reverse the percentages of OO and lard. At just 50+% lard might not slow the trace indefinitely like a 100% lard would. I have never used lard so others will have to confirm though.
