I forgot to mention that I did use 30g borax as well so hopefully with the pumice and borax combined it will be effective. What is the reason for using dual lye ? I've never used KoH.

I'm not sure, but I found it on line by doing a google search.... for Genny's shampoo bar. Made it yesterday using 100% goats milk, plus a little sugar. I'm not intending to use it as a shampoo bar now .... :( , but it has turned out beautifully and will be looking forward to showering with it.

Easier said than done...mostly sellers from the US...shipping cost prohibitive ! I think there is only one Australian seller that seems to have the genuine article. So...just wondering if there is an Aussie on the forum who sells syndet bars ?

Hi Zany...have tipped back into the jug and am working on it. It's like a thick banana custard... without the banana :) So smooth and creamy....a thick trace...but getting thinner as I stir. Left it for a while...hoping it would warm up a bit and go to gel stage. Wish I had more understanding of...

Thank you everyone for your input on this subject. I was so hoping to be able to help my post chemo friends too, but there's no way now that I will suggest that they can use my soap as anything but a body or facial bar. I know I'm going to have some great soaps though :) I know everyone's hair...
