    You are correct on the cigar band. As for the shrink wrap....you soap has to breath. It could also sweat and most often shrinks in the wrap if it is not completely cured. MP on the other hand HAS to be wrapped. Lovely soap...I can't wait to hear an update on the lotion soap!

    REBATCHING SUCKS!

    I've tried it in the crockpot --it burns I did the boiling method (twice) it doesn't completly all melt for me and take too long. The next method I am going to try is putting it in a crockpot, cover with water, put the lid on and let it sit overnight. Next morning drain it off and then melt...

    Is this a good time to make Christmas soaps?

    I wish I had all of my christmas soap done. The longer the cure the better the soap. If your worried about losing scent you could always add orris root powder to 'set' the scent, but it is not going to lose it's scent by christmas. Lets say you make a soap today and it warps on you before...

    This weeks playful endeavors!

    I've been meaning to try the felt...just so I can say I have (to myself) but that stuff is expensive!! It's a new hobby, felted purses and such. Anytime a new hobby comes out the supplies for that sky rocket. Anyway, yours look fab and I love the yellow of your lemon verbena!

    Have you checked your local health food stores? Some of them carry EO's and other goodies:) You should be able to find castor there as well. With your oils you could go: 40% OO 30% CO 30% Palm
