Thank you. Dh bought them from Amazon. They came from China and took forever to get here--after getting lost once along the way. I do really like them, though.

I got the blues this weekend

In all things in life, color is my jam ;) Saturday, I made more campfire scented soap in the stone mold. These molds are a bit deeper and wider than others I have, so I think I need to increase my recipe a bit to fully fill them all. I only got 5; and they aren't full. I do love how the blues...

Her video on melting together every B&B candle is pretty funny too. (Trying to determine what scents are most prominent.) Janelle

I really like Safiya's videos. She is hilarious. And dorky and loveable. I'm proud of her for sticking with it and making so many batches. And she said she enjoyed it too. She may be a future soapmaker.

    New Soaper from Indiana

Welcome from your neighboring state of Kentucky :) I, too, am relatively new to soap making and supply my friends and family with handcrafted soaps. Cold process is a lot of fun and allows for so much creativity. Looking forward to seeing your creations.

    Trace too thick I couldn't even pour....why?

I have a couple of floral fragrance oils that accelerate like that. I've learned to have everything ready and just whisk them into my batter before pouring. In my experience, using a stick blender causes them to seize.

Does anyone just let the vanillin win?

I do. One of my favorite soaps was one I intentionally used the discoloration. I only soap for my family's use, but I don't see why they wouldn't sell. Mine was a deep rich brown swirled with the natural cream color of my soap base.
