    Dove soap.

Most people are, and it doesn't even have to be luxury oils. Simple handmade soap with a superfat is so much better than anything you can buy in the stores at any price.

Which method is best for soap making HP or CP???

They all have their virtues and downfalls. It's personal preference and you'll find what you like best. So far, I've been through CP (insulating with blankets to gel) CPHP OHP Now, my personal favorite for soaping is DWRTCP.....discount water room temp cold process. The lye solution...

    Reason to wear gloves ?

Yeah....it hurts like h-ll, and it will probably burn a little hole right where it was. Keep an eye on it and go see the doc if it doesn't settle down. I've done that before myself. OUCH is the key word.

    Reason to wear gloves ?

You just learned the hard way about protective equipment. Please keep rinsing for another 15 minutes, and for HEAVEN'S SAKE.....WEAR YOUR GLOVES!!!!

    Natural Laundry Soap (no shredding)

The point of the recipe is no shredding. I hate to shred up the soap. This you just have to stir together. The baking soda won't hurt anything and it does separate at first like everyone described.....just keep stirring and stick blending for a couple of days and it will all come together...

    0% Superfatting

I'm another one that does 0% superfat, but like IrishLass said, only for cleaning soap, stain sticks, laundry, etc. I wouldn't do it. That superfat is a cushion of safety for you.

    Natural Laundry Soap (no shredding)

Coconut's always a good choice. Here's an excerpt from one of my early attempts with canola oil.....it was a hilarious disaster......that left a scum ring in the washing machine. "Toasted Canola Laundry Soap 1 lb Canola Oil that needs to be used up before rancidity sets in Lye and...

    Natural Laundry Soap (no shredding)

You can with the soft oils....but I think it works better with the lard.

    HEEEELLLLLLLLP

Without the castor, it will probably be close to zero superfat or maybe a tad lye heavy. If you don't wanna bother trying to save it, you can always use it for household cleaning purposes. I myself, I probably wouldn't do a rebatch on it, because I'd always worry about a pocket being a...

    soapmaking CP kit

That's kind of a neat idea. I didn't know soapmaking kits existed until I started browsing the online forums. I started with 6 lbs of vegetable shortening, a 25 lb bucket of lye, a digital scale, and a Farberware thermometer which I used once. :)

    It worked!!

Congratulations! :) Indulge yourself in a little end sliver after a few days. It won't be as good, long lasting, or as mild as it will be in a month, but you can at least use your creation.

    SEIZED!!!

I have a Rose FO that does exactly the same thing, no matter what you do. So don't feel lonely. :)

What is Bastille soap? Seems there are many "definition

Your definition is dead on....you're not wrong at all. Bastile is pretty much any soap made with mostly olive oil. :)

Hope the reporter got it wrong

They don't have to be the same temperature, but if they're not, there's a chance that the universe may implode.    Other than the situation that IrishLass mentioned.....I don't think so. Although my older books are very hung up on that concept.

cp unscented and undyed, then handmill?

Try using milk as your rebatch liquid.....you get smoother results in the end. :)
