    Helping people

I've been at markets where I've been the person asking questions/chatting up a storm with the vendor. The vendor would say to me something like "can you hold on a minute?" to me, and ask if they have a simple question or just wanted to purchase real quick, and then get back to me.

Accounting for EOs in a recipe

EO is per pound of oil, not total amt of soap.... just wanted to clarify.

What soapy thing have you done today?

i couldn't get lard or palm (and, I'm a no-palm kind of mentality...), but I was able to get my hands on cocoa butter. that really helped the hardness even at 10%. for your recipe, I'd up the OO, get that CO down to below 25%, and keep the rest what you have. play around on soapcalc until...

What soapy thing have you done today?

Hilge, if you want hardness without the cleansing, you may want to look to other oils. Lard, butters and palm are good ones to add hardness without the high cleansing CO has

I get flustered in public. =(

I love doing this. puts them on the defensive, and gives you time to think, assess, and give a great answer. if their response is "I just wanna know", I then retort with "like what specifically? is it the colour, the smell, the [fill in the blank for whatever they're asking about]?". it...

    Baby shower favor soaps

ooh! haha. well, how many are you making? if you're making more than 10, I'd suggest designing a label b/c you don't want to be writing out that many labels (trust me....THIS from a girl who wrote out tons of soap labels when friends bought soap b/c she doesn't have a printer.....). I did...

    Baby shower favor soaps

I get flustered in public. =(

I think you've got some great advise. I'm terrible in public and especially with rude people (I'm one of those who get flustered, become speechless, then think of some great remark AFTER it happens). Best of luck in the future! You'll be great!

    Soapy mayhem

Ah vino....the cure-all for such moments. lol Well, you've conquered the peacock swirl! Maybe it was great bc u left the FO out (which seems like it can make things go wrong, you know, ricing, fast mover, etc. Not saying the one you chose but generally). So it was meant to be! But, now we need...
