How To Use Soap Calc Tutorial

The total yield of your recipe will be shown after you choose to view your recipe. It will display the total weight of the oils, liquid, lye, and fragrance used in the recipe. Keep in mind: 1. You should set the fragrance amount to the exact amount you want to use, otherwise the total weight...

How To Use Soap Calc Tutorial

I've been trying to find the time to apologize for not really answering your question. I misread your first post and didn't realize it until after I read the other posts. cmzaha and Susie had the best suggestions for using Summer Bee's calculator. I thing their help icon would be more helpful...

    Beautiful Beer Soap

The only thing I disliked was the price. I know that good beer can cost and the label appeal can let you up the price quite a bit, but that $44 dollars really can pay for my lye and oils. Otherwise, I loved the product's presentation. I forgot to mention that the fact that I can make my own...

    Beautiful Beer Soap

Guess what I found on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IN7F0CK/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 I gagged when I saw this, but I can totally see it being sold. Still, I'm curious as to what your thoughts are. :)

    Pineapple and cilantro fiasco!

How To Use Soap Calc Tutorial

28.3495231 is the magical number to convert grams to ounces (through division) or ounces to grams (through multiplication). Thanks for sharing that link, BTW. :D Thank you all for you thoughts and support. :) Happy Soaping!

    Coffee Soap....Less talk, more action

:wtf: I have to ask: how was that soap? I would not have thought of combining patchouli with peppermint, much less the duo with coffee.

    Butter Soap Curiosity

No thanks is necessary. :) I just simply did what any other curious soul would do when questions may not be enough. As many soapers have suggested, go easy on the butter as it will stink even if it is 10% of the recipe. I find that a mostly butter soap makes a terrible hand soap (thank you...

    Butter Soap Curiosity

If I were a better perfumer, I'd love to try my hand at making a kettle corn scent. I know that Eden Botanicals sells butter EO, but I'm not going to run out to get it anytime soon. At the mean time, I'll enjoy butter in the one place it belongs: my belly! :)

How To Use Soap Calc Tutorial

Since writing this a new software has came out; SoapmakingFriend.com This is for the newbies who are new to the world of soap-making. soapcalc.net is actually my favorite online calculator to use. It is intimidating with all the things that you have to enter, but it gets easier to use as time...

    Butter Soap Curiosity

My room-temperature bar has a hint of the same stinky smell from 4 weeks ago. The refrigerated bar started to smelled like the compartment that I store my EOs when I first took it out, but it now reminds me of movie-theater butter topping. The freezer bar smelled like the frozen food that had...

    Purple

I remembered that one of the other posters (Obsidian I think) made a soap using potatoes. While it is different from this thread's topic, I just want to throw that out there. I heard that alkanet root made a lovely purple, but do be careful as it may be tricky to use.

Help on newbie on soap making

That is kinda scary, but I sympathize with you when it comes to spammers. -_- those movie threads were annoying. @handmade_soap: 20%/80% of CO/OO sounds good (I made a batch or two of that recipe), but don't be afraid to try out palm, tallow, or lard. Palm is a solid choice for a hard bar...
