the mystery of the instant cure

Hi jbot, I agree with those who say this is probably M&P mixed with goats milk, and then dehydrated. ppl add all sort of additives to melt and pour, and goats milk is no exception at all. Did she not have an ingredients list, I thought that by latin the USA a seller needs to have one, but I...

    Crowd mentality & booth design

Hi Sarahcycled. I agree with all what the effacious gentleman said. The way it is set up the person does need to walk in, and it has the vibe of walking into a Midwestern salon like in the old Clint Eastwood movies rather than in a more inviting way. Try putting your jewellery board to the...

    Troubleshooting gm soap

Hi green Sara, are you sure you reached full trace. Whenever separation like you described happened to me, was because I was worried by the seizing id stop before I reached full trace. Otherwise the EO could be the culprit. Also forgot to add, it could be lye heavy for some reason so do a test...

    Too much dye

If you do go the rebatch route, do use some liquid (milk works great for this), as at 4 weeks a lot of the moisture has already gone out of it.

How Can I Make It Better?

Hi again, so I listened to you guys put at least the ingredient suppliers in alphabetic and continent order. Then added a pin board linking to some really good bloggers websites as you click the picture. No idea how to stop the floating effect though on a desktop. Also learnt that best to back...

What gives store-sold soaps their long shelf-life?

This thread reminded me of some 100% olive oil, soaps I did years ago, I think in like 2009.....then I found them again in 2012 before moving, and they actually lathered much better than any OO soap I did before. With other soaps depends on the ingredients, colours and fragrance fade, but it...

DIY website (with cart or without) suggestions PLEASE.

Just a word of caution, as I got reminded today.... When you use weebly be very careful and go slowly, as it is really easy and good, with just one catch, no undo button, should you accidentally delete things. Then going back to the start is the only option.......

How to replicate this particular soap's style?

They could be marking where to put the embeds, then they're a little melted soap to stick the eyes and mouth etc into the mould. This way when they carefully pour the Orange part everything stays in place.

Two issues I'm having- lines showing between layers and blurry imbeds

Did you measure the temperature before pouring? That way you know to go lower next time, and it should take long if you are pouring in a loaf mould.

Two issues I'm having- lines showing between layers and blurry imbeds

Hi there! Did you make sure the second colour poured was cool enough when you poured it, as it looks like the first embed is kind of melting into the soap?

jnl is right. Ali baba only sells business to business anyway, while Ali express was mad a few years ago so small businesses could sell to other vey small business, or individuals, at low quantities. though check around if you use them, as different sellers sell the same product at different...

    (cheap) Packaging for Bath Salts

Lol I meant like the stand up bags! But hmmm if they may breakdown, though it never happened to me I can't see a way around glass?but then so many stores sell salts in those long tubes and nothing happens to them, so as long as it is from a cosmetics supplier I guess you shoul be okay :)
