Fragrances you just cannot stand..whats yours?

Mine would be most "chocolate" scents...as much as I love eating is as much as I hate smelling it as it always ends up being to over powering and sickening to me.

    Retail storefront

Samirish do a business plan about opening a store. Keep describing your soaps to the end, and try to get to the financial 'business section' first so you see rent, hiring staff, liscense, how you plan on marketing, projected cash flows etc first and see if you can handle it. Most business's...

    Castor Oil. Yea or nay?

The no fail recipe I use since a long time has 12% castor oil in it. I wait a bit longer to cut the soap and cure it for the longest period recommended and then it is one nice bar of soap to use....so in other words YAY!

the mystery of the instant cure

True, a reminder not everything on the labels is true (the high coconut oil content and marketed towards body use is already a tell tale sign of this..lspecially tne baby product ) But that also ppl do all kind of M&P bases, and I imagine a piece of this would also melt in the strange way the...

the mystery of the instant cure

such I can't get this thread of my mind, and presuming she is telling the truth, is it possible she does her own melt and pour like this South African company does? http:\\www.soapbarn.co.za/book-farmhouse.htm In which case her ingredient list was not in the correct order. Of course such she...

Strawberries and cream, because of the White and red stripes, and it's a 'dreamy' food like 'the American Dream'? Anyway not from the USA but this is what 'flavour I imagine the USA to be so fragrance to if international opinions are of any use lol

    Catherine Failor's book

Agree with all the above if this is about her liquid soap making book, which I'm staring at as I type. It has a lot of good information but put me off making any liquid soap until I found out about the glycerine method. And now that I found irishlass's even easier glycerine method here so...

Homemade m & sweating and sticky

Hi regansoap! Is this cold process soap or melt and pour? If it is the first are you changing the location of the soap after you cut it? Soap needs a constant temperature at first. Try using a humidifier in the room/closet where you keep your soap while it cures and see if that helps.

    Thank you to the Mods!

Adding my thanks to, as the spammers won't stop, (it's always one of two subjects..movies or whatever that other weirdness is) but their links are removed within an hour at most (and actually much less time) all the time, so thank you for that!

    honey ip balm? pipe dream?

I love nuxe reve de miel lip balm, and that has some honey in it. Only thing is it is one of the ingredients in lesser amounts, I think they use the beeswax as both a base and an emulsefier (I know it really isn't, but like the diy lotion recipes of old used it). The balm is mostly beeswax and...
