Hi...I just bought some premium lotion base and a few rap plastic lotion containers from NDA. The question is How do you get the lotion in? The hole is so little. Is there a special tool that does this? You can probably tell I do not have much experience. I have only made cp soap up to this...

McLeod...I am in Saskatoon. I do have 2 gallons of vegetable glycerin in my storage room that I have had for awhile. I bought it for other purposes, but I wouldn't mind trying a batch with it. Does anyone have a recipe they would share. Would be much appreciated. Laurie

I only live 61/2 hrs from this source of glycerin. But actually I have a friend here who makes bio-diesel. He says his glycerin isn't fit for making soap. Is there a certain process you have to put it thru to clean it up? Laurie

Just looking at it and without entering it into soapcalc it looks like your lye is way too low. I would run it thru a calc if I were you. Do you know how? Laurie I ran it thru soapcalc and you are right on. I have never used avocado or lanolin, so don't know what they are like. Maybe...

I plugged your ingred. into Soapcalc and the amount of lye is right on. Personally I would find that soap too cleansing. For my family's skin I try to keep my cleansing # at 15 or lower or if I go a little higher then I superfat at 10%. I usually use only 25 - 30% of CO or those...
