What to use to line wooden mold?

I use parchment paper. But I have also gone to Michael's and bought a sheet of foam for $.99. I cut it to fit bottom and sides. It works even better that parchment. Then I just rinse the foamies with warm water and dry for next use. HTH. Laurie

Does this look like a good recipe?

Godiva...I would take the CO or PKO down 5-10% and up the OO. Even with that I would have to superfat 10%. I love the cleansing and bubbles but we tend to have dry skin here. But that's just me. Maybe you could handle that cleansing. Otherwise that looks like a great recipe. Good Luck...

Where in the world is Lane....

Hey Ian...this is what I heard someone say just recently. When the door gets closed, God doesn't just open a window, he knocks down walls. That's even better. Cool, eh. Laurie

    mr soapmakerman....

If you have oily skin that is a great recipe. With CO and PKO being cleansing oils and you are using 49% with the two combined. Most people don't go over 25 - 30%. But if you use a high superfat or if you have a reason for wanting it to be that cleansing...then it's a good recipe. Do you...

I'm in on this thread. I don't get to make soap as often as I would like and so it seems I make a mistake with every batch. I made my first salt soap yesterday and I forgot my mold was for 20 bars and I calculated for 12 bars. The soap is fine, the bars are just really thin. I feel for...

    in need of major help!!!

I guess I would hate to throw anything out without at least trying. LOL :D If it were me I would don rubber gloves and grate it in the pot, maybe add a little liquid and/or oil and try and cook it. Then if it didn't work I'd chuck it, IMHO. Laurie

    in need of major help!!!

Maybe it's time to learn how to rebatch. You very rarely have to throw out a batch. It can usually be remedied. I know there are many threads to follow on rebatching. I have only had to rebatch once so I don't know how to help. First of all you have to figure out the problem and remedy it...
