Advise on adding BHT as a antioxident

I've read thru the articles about BHT + EDTA working well on soaps, and bought both in small quntities. @DeeAnna 's article in her site gave me an idea on how to prepare a EDTA solution and add to the mix. However I was not able to find a way to prepare BHT solution. I tried adding it with...

    Preservatives

I've met with them yesterday and agreed to give them my product (liquid soap) so that they can run some test with several options, my key concerns were preservatives & thickeners with consistency over a range of temperatures.

Thanks for the link, I've been making Cold Processed Liquid Soap for about an year for personal use and given away to my immediate families. Preservatives

@DeeAnna thanks for your input. I'm very skeptical about including a chemical preservative in to my liquid soap. However considering the issues it can bring up if no preservatives used, I thought of looking for a preservative. here it is very difficult to obtain the popular brands used by...

I checked their website, Glydant is claimed to be used in personal care products for decades. it also states I has ultra low levels of for formaldehyde content (<0.09%) thereby avoiding the H350 phrase in Europe. Clause H350 stands for for "May Cause Cancer". Although it is claimed to be...

    Shampoo bars

Every personal care product including baby care products sold here contains one of those three sulfates and form enhancers, that's one of the reason I got interested in soap-making. I'm trying to find a lye sulfate free shampoo bar recipe that I could make and possibly use on my own.

    Shampoo bars

An Instagram handle, who does some good soap making, recently launched two shampoo bars, which are claimed to be not soaps and sulfate free (SLS,SLES & ALS). But they have not disclosed the surfactant they are using, but claiming to be mild one.

CP Soap turned out to be too spongy

Is it normal for the mix to reach trace in very short time on whisk. I never had to use the stick blender when making bar soaps, it's traces so fast that I don't even have enough time to properly mix colours/EOs.

CP Soap turned out to be too spongy

CPLS stands for cold processed liquid soap only. I think I've learnt my lesson hard way. It was the largest single batch I've tried so far and now gone wrong. I have made the wrong assumption of everything stays same except switching the lye when making liquid soap and bar soap.

CP Soap turned out to be too spongy

I made a batch of CP soap last week. although it traced very fast (3-5min) on a whisk, the resultant soap seems to be too soft and spongy. If it fails to improve I don't think this soap can be used. The ingredients are as follows, Palmoilen 918g (54%) Coconut Oil 425g (25%)...

In my country it is literally not possible to find certified palm oil. Also other oils including olive are very expensive and difficult to ensure quality. Once a batch went rancid due to the oilve oil I've used. Although coconut oil is freely available, I don't use coconut oil over 25% in...

    Cold process liquid soap?

The 24 hours I've mentioned is before dilution, during that time the soap paste will be yellowish or off white color and not transparent. below one a batch soon after it reached the trace. It becomes fully transparent & clear once diluted, again looses the transparency when we thicken it...

Problems with itching/irritation in Bath Powder... what could it be?

I see honey & coconut are processed and powdered from their original form, any additions during these manufacturing process may be the culprit.
