Sorry, don't have any pictures. I'm not home today. I did not use PS.
The base soap that I've had is Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Castor Oil, Safflower Oil, and Avocado Oil. I did add Liquid Germall Plus to that several weeks ago, but it has been fine.
I have a lot of small bottles of fragrance oil sitting around the house from when I made bar soap. When making bar soap, you wind up with a million bottles of fragrance oil that all have about 1/2 ounce in each bottle.
I also have a gallon jug of Liquid Soap that I made several weeks ago. It...
What kind of packaging do you use when selling on Etsy?
I'm talking the layer above your basic wrap (cigar band, shrink wrap, etc).
I'm thinking the local newspaper stuffed in a USPS priority box with the soap just isn't good enough, lol.
What do you do?
Thanks!!
I too think the "Full" wraps here look awesome.
But, how do you monitor the bars when they are fully covered? If something goes bad under the paper, you will never know.
I've read on some other posts that we add our preservative to LS at the time of dilution and base it off of the total weight (paste weight plus fluid weight).
But I was just thinking. Dilution can take 10 hours and the weight can change from start to finish.
Are you adding your preservative...
When I say castile soao, I am referencing 100% olive oil soap with maybe an essential added. I was watching a video yesterday from LA fille DE LA mer. I think I remember her saying she cures it for 12 months.
Seems like a long time. anyone else cure this long?
On a side note. I was...
I sent WSP an email about 2 or 3 days ago.
They updated their website for the product. I asked them if I can exchange the one that I bought to the the mistake on the website.
They never responded!
I use a piece of scrap 12 gauge Romex cable (the same stuff the electricity in your house runs thru). If you take the sheathing off, there are 3 smaller wires inside. Each of these can be used for hanger swirl. Just bend it to the shape of your mold.
I keep the plastic/rubber coating on the...
Thanks.
What is everyone talking about when they say "Bands?" or "Cigar Bands?"
Few here have mentioned that shrink wrapping is cheaper than bands. A band to me is just a piece of paper that goes around the soap and gets glued with a glue stick. Michael's crafts sells 50 packs of 65lb paper...
This is my local supplier so I can drive there.

I used this cherry withing the past month and was very happy with it; I like the scent and no fading or anything at least yet.
Good luck. I tried making one of those but found it very difficult to get the 12 strings perfectly equidistant from each other.
I wasn't using guitar strings though. Michael's sells what they call craft wire. They had some as thin as 26 gauge.
What's the verdict on shrink wrapping soap?
I've seen some mixed reviews. I've noticed some of the very experienced people on this site shrink wrap their soap. But others do not. Those that do not use: "The soap needs to breathe" as the primary reason.
So, why does the soap need to breathe...
They look good IMO with the suggestions from above. I don't mind the slogan as others have mentioned.
What about a batch number? You can use a really small (font size) number on the back to uniquely identify the batch.
So I became more curious after some of my earlier posts.
I think I've made the decision to want a preservative in my LS.
But, I'm still trying to decide which one.
So, I thought: What are the people who are actually selling this stuff using?
Should be easy, go out to Etsy, search for "Liquid...
Wow thanks for all the research. Now let's see if I can get WSP to give me a refund since their website is wrong. It even lists Liquid Soaps as possible uses.
So back to the original question, let's pretend I have a preservative that has the acceptable PH range.
Can I just add it to the...
No germaben II is good for all PH ranges (according to WSP website).
It's the other one (starts with a Phe) that is restrictive. Sorry, I can't remember the name.
I got my package from WSP today and got my Germaben II that I want to try as a preservative in liquid soap.
Seems like you add it at about 1/2%
Question 1:
Can I add it to some LS that I made last weekend? Already been diluted and in a container?
Or do I need to start fresh and add it at...
Some questions that remain:
How would someone know ahead of time if they will make 200 transactions in that particular state? Let's say I live in PA and made 150 transactions last year to Iowa. Now it's Jan 1st and I estimate that I will make 175 transactions this year in Iowa (business...
