Lard, pig fat, OMG it was once a live animal...lol. Now you are going to offend the animal rights groups. You're darned if you do, darned if you don't. Years ago I made a wonderful lard soap as lard was cheaper back in 2012 - 2013. But if the family decides to butcher hogs, I will gladly use the...

    2lilboots soaps again

I have the day off, so I made some soap. Half my liquid was condensed goats milk. I mixed that into my oils. Heck of a lot easier than dealing with frozen goats milk. The fo is NG Sparkling Lavender Lemonade. I tried an ITP swirl. I think I would like to invest in a couple of those funnel spout...

I doubt that people question if their french fries or doughnuts are fried in RSPO certified palm oils, or their cupcake frosting was made with palm shortening. Most don't even know. If your customers want RSPO certified then that's what you use.

I have found most of my soaping oils, like pomace olive oil and coconut oil at restaurant suppliers. You can buy 50 lbs of the stuff, usually the more you buy the bigger the discount. It took me a while, but I have found the palm oil as well. I had to do my research in their fryer oil section...

    Countertop Water Distiller

I am contemplating the purchase of a countertop water distiller. I don't need all these gallon plastic jugs to dispose of from purchasing distilled water. I use distilled water in my floor steamer, iron, handheld steamer, and for soap making. I was curious if anyone else has made this investment.

What soapy thing have you done today?

I'm tempted to just buy the 50 lb bucket of lye. I usually only buy 6 lb at a time, but I go thru it so fast.

    2lilboots soaps again

Made this soap last week. NG fo Bayberry. Nice scent for a man. Used the rest of the frozen Guinness Stout for the lye liquid. I kind of thought it would make the bars darker. No colorant. I used sodium lactate since I was using cavity molds. I still should have waited a few more days to unmold...
