    Yummy ideas

I saw this today, looks yummy! I am going to have to try it. What yummy ideas have you seen lately?

    Having a really bad day

Sorry to hear this. *hugs* I've had various types of seizures all my life, so I have gone through the "not driving" thing here and there, usually only for 6 months at a time though, and just between me and my doctor, while we worked out whatever issue was affecting things... Usually tired or...

    I need some laundry help.

Simple green will sometimes give light colored fabrics a greenish tinge, but better than gas smelling! :) Simple green is awesome though. And it smells like sassafrass, which I love. Might also try a product designed for getting pet stains out -- it's called Get Serious! and it's enzyme based...

Please send some good vibes my way

So glad the vet appears to be a good one! Please keep us posted on how the kitty is doing. It's so stressful when anyone in the family, furry family included, has an unknown health problem. I hope it turns out to be nothing to worry about! And glad that they're working with you on finances...

Not sure if this is gross, but...

For shampoo bars, I like a bit of tea tree oil, mixed with grapefruit EO and litsea cubeba EO and bergamot EO. I use 1 part tea tree, 2 parts each of litsea and bergamot, and 4 parts grapefruit. Smells sooooo good. a fresh happy scent. :)

Not sure if this is gross, but...

Well, considering there are shampoos and conditioners out there with sheep placenta -- which goes past my limit on grossness, btw -- I don't think hair is a big deal. No different to me than silk, cat hair, wool, or other proteins that have been discussed lately.

    Great Display

I agree, the first one is too sterile-looking as-is, with the chrome shelves. Those are the shoe-racks like you can get at home-depot. They come in white also. I can envision this becoming much more inviting by using the white ones, same as the smaller shelves next to them, and using fabric...

    Simple elegance escapes me

I like them! I love the colors, and they look like they're smiling. :)

    Laundry soap (3% SF)

I haven't had any issues with stains. Even my husband's clothes don't get dingy-looking as much as when I was using commercial soap and fabric softener. I keep a bar of the soap unshredded and wet any stains and rub them with the bar. Coconut soap is excellent at removing oils.

    Laundry soap (3% SF)

I use 100% CO at 0% SF, and I add 5x sweet orange EO at the same rate as I would for regular soap. It doesn't scent the clothes, but it smells nice when I measure out the soap. lol To make a batch of the powder, I use 2 cups shreds with 1 cup each borax and washing soda for each batch of...

Please send some good vibes my way

Ask if your vet's office will do PaymentBanc. It's not really a credit line, but more an agree to pay over time, with automatic deductions from your bank account. It's pretty easy to qualify, unlike some of the credit places. It won't allow routine things like shots or checkups, but for...

    Christmas 2014

The eyes --and the smiles-- look like when the kids or animals would play in the Kryptonite in Smallville, and turn into Krypto-Zombie-Mutants -- They're Krypto-Deer... Krypto-Deer that just noticed a potential victim and smiled.

Is this normal for Funky Hair Syndrome?

The silicones build up and leave a residue. That's why you have to use a cleanser that can actually remove silicones in order to get rid of the gunk before you go no-poo. Either an sls shampoo WITHOUT any of the -cones or -xanes or other silicones, or something with coco-betaine should do the...

    terrible rush on my face

Only a doctor can reliably diagnose a rash. It could be something simple, could be something serious. No way of knowing if minerals/mud can help without knowing what's causing the rash. Sorry... :(

Is this normal for Funky Hair Syndrome?

I have noticed that some of my recipes have to almost drown for a few minutes to get a good lather, and some will lather just barely wet. The one that I like best... umm... I don't think I can choose. It depends on how my hair is acting. I like my 98% coconut/2% cocoa butter, with a 20% SF (no...

    I love it. It's gorgeous. :)

Frosting fell off of my cake slices. :( Can anyone tell me why?

Maybe it didn't make the frosting too hard, but it maybe made it less sticky? When I have used it in HP, it makes my batter very smooth and un-sticky, so it won't even stick to the crock-pot. Maybe the tops just didn't want to stick to the bottoms? I haven't used it much in CP so dunno for sure...
