    Best single bar soap cutters?

Thanks-- that's good to know if anyone else comes looking. Not too surprising, I suppose, since that link was posted 4 years ago.

    Smelly Soap

To better help you trouble shoot, we like to ask for your recipe, process, and how long the soap has been curing, and even your storage situation. Otherwise, it's hard to know what's going on.

Wasn't there a "favorite fragrence" thread?

Go to advanced search and use "favorite fragrance" with the quotation marks in the keywords box. Click "search titles only." That might help

Help! How do I make a maximum sweaty soap? For an art project

This is what I was thinking. Any bar of CP plus clear MP drips and beads of "sweat" could look pretty convincing.

    Cure time

I made "single use" soaps by using a veggie peeler. The problem was, It was a mess to use. The pieces were either too small or too big. I ended up with little random bits of soap in the basin and of the sink. This can cause some future problems with your drain. If we're talking about veggie...

Question: is this a good idea

What would be the goal? Unless you are doing HP, you can't control which oil the lye monster will eat. As long as saponification is still happening, the oils will saponify.

What are the red dots from?

My guess is powdered goats milk that wasn't fully incorporated.

What are the red dots from?

Not familiar with the kit or is instructions. 1. How experienced address you as a soaper? 2. Was the goats milk powdered? 3. Is this a CP kit?

Yes-- it sounds alive! And if you catch it at the right moment, it looks like it, too....

    Soap on a stick!

No. I rarely wait that long. Every recipe is different. If you press on it and it feels like a block of cheddar cheese, you can probably unmold it.

Too much fragrance oil - rebatch or shred it?

Another for for wait-and-see. I hate rebatching, so I will always choose shredding over rebatching. The Ciaglia method of confetti soap makes a nice stone-like soap.

    Is this a volcano ?

Soap with a high percentage of CO can overheat, even in a small mold. If you are near by, you can actually hear it as it expands!

Calculated mold volume but it made too much

Did you use the result as your oil weight or as your total batch weight?

Trying to make a more luxurious hard bar of soap and eliminate scum

    1. I agree with @AliOop -- that is a huge batch to make as an experiment. 450-500 g of oil will give you about 5-6 bars to try while you come up with more soapy ideas. 2. Have you calculated this by hand? I ask, because when I ran it through the lye calculator, it looks like the super fat comes...

    Additives

It was 5, then they whittled it down to one free one and now it's bumped up to 2. As a hobby soaper, I don't use enough features to warrant the cost. I print my recipes and keep notes on them. If I want to experiment, I edit an existing recipe and print it out. That way, I don't lose the...
