Thought I pass on some great news. I bought a 34 oz. bottle of avocado oil at Costco yesterday for $8.89! This is the first time I've seen it there and hopefully not the last.

I save the trimmings and rebatch it into a new loaf. I call it my ugly soap and it feels even better then the originals that it come from. My family loves getting my uglies as much as my regular soap!

I didn't think to use the SB. Good idea, judymoody. I know it's only soap...I keep telling myself that all the time. I'm just anal, so I'm going to have to make a water/lye solution and add my milk to my oils. Or just stop stressing and enjoy my straining time. Hey maybe I can talk myself...

How can I prevent the frozen hemp milk from saponifying when I add the lye? I add the lye very slowly to the frozen milk, and I have to strain it thru a fine wire strainer before adding it to my oils. It's a big mess and a real time waster.

My mother brought back very similar soap roses from Cuba about 10 years ago. It was in a plastic box and it had really fake rose scent that smelled terrible. If they can do it with virtually nothing at their disposal, I should be able to manage it. Problem is...no one will want to use them.
