Welcome! I've had a two minute oven process, I fond out later that is was WAY too much sugar and really heated things up! I do it on the counter now, to keep an eye on things, way too much of an oven mess!!

    Cases for fragrance oils

Great suggestions, I'll sit the boxes upright until I have another solution. Micas would definitely be good in them

    Body butter recommendation

I ended up using rosehip, primrose and jojoba in a roller bottle, I made one for myself and like it very much! The body butter was mango and shea butters, jojoba, apricot kernel and a little argon. It seems. Dry nice!

    Cases for fragrance oils

Well, now I'm just sad... only a couple have been opened, I guess I will take those out, I have 2 cases full. Hopefully the unopened ones will be ok. Although, I'm thinking, now, of standing the cases up. I mainly like that I can see through and not have to pull up each bottle.

    Cases for fragrance oils

These are on sale at Michaels, I got them for about $2:50. I'm so happy! I can see what they are without pulling every bottle up out of a box and they slide right under the bed! Handy!

Thank you, it's cooling now. I wasn't aware that Arian had an odor, I will give it a try in one for me and see if jasmine covers it up!

    Body butter recommendation

Well, I'm looking at all of the warnings on the back, I think I'll leave it out!! I also considered argon oil, but it has a strange scent!! With what I have on hand, I think I'm going to go with 50% mango butter, 25% shea, 10% coconut, 15% jojoba. What do you think?

    Body butter recommendation

How do you think palm kernel flakes would do with mango butter, jojoba and apricot kernel? I don't have cocoa butter so I'm wondering if palm flakes would stiffen it up a bit.

    Body butter recommendation

Wow!! The one that I made for myself was 50/50! So, higher on the butter, ok! I just did some mango butter on the back of one hand and apricot on the other, big difference! Edit I do have palm kernel flakes...

    Body butter recommendation

Yes, I plan to do exactly that, whipped butter. I have only made one for myself using shea, apricot kernel and arrowroot. Now that I have mango butter, I will use that. For liquid oils I am considering the above on hand. Is the apricot kernel the best choice? I've never tried the jojoba, I...

Embedding Cold Process into Melt and Pour ???

I had not made an adjustment in my recipe for amount of oils, taking into consideration that some was going to be MP, so I was able to do a 5 lb and a 3 lb. I had forgotten to spray the top of the mp layer of the 3 lb with alcohol before adding the top cp. thankfully I don't see a difference...

I was just thinking, I have some roll on bottles! That will work until I come up with something a little nicer!! Sadly, I only have the oils above, and I am seeing her on Sunday

    Body butter recommendation

i want to make something nice for my Godmother. I have onhand, mango and shea butters, apricot kernel, rosehip, jojoba, primrose, beeswax, Which would be the least greasy? Also, I want to use the jojoba, rosehip and primrose (thank you mischief) for face, is there anything I can combine it with...

Embedding Cold Process into Melt and Pour ???

Ok, I did HP and it passed the first test by at least staying together. We'll see how it holds up! It wasn't without its challenges, newb stuff. For example, MP doesn't play nicely in a wax paper lined loaf mold! A LOT ran behind the paper making unmolding a BIG challenge! The MP layer was...

Embedding Cold Process into Melt and Pour ???

I am wondering how long I should let the hp cool before the mp. Well, it IS an experiment!! Will definitely post results! Thanx

    Help with a lard recipe

Oh!! Ok, I get it!! I wasn't sure which oils to forgo in order to add lard. So I should replace the palm with it. I usually use about 30% palm or crisco, so that's what I will replace, thanx!!
