I don't soap with safflower, but I use sunflower a lot. When it arrives I add rosemary oleoresin to it and keep it in the fridge. I also add a bit of rosemary oleoresin to my soap, but I do have to deal with a color change when I add it. Cheers! Anna Marie

If I had to take a guess....I would say there is some drop swirl going on here. I'm also wondering if something like a small comb or multi-prong stick was used to swirl given the looks of those swirls. I think I'll start looking around at swirling stick ideas :-) Cheers! Anna Marie

I'll have to dig out my bread in a bowl recipe to share- sooooo easy and good! I have corned beef in the fridge waiting for St. Patty's day, and I'm going to make your soda bread to go with it- anything with buttermilk is darn good! Sausage rolls sound delish! Got a recipe for those too :-)...

Just a little update, I have tested castile (not lye heavy) with larger amounts of water several years ago and the results were more gooey soap. That being said, I would still encourage experimentation:-) My hand stirred batch is doing fine. Interestingly, it has developed very few, if any lye...
