I read the other post about using these two together, and some were saying that they like lard better than tallow. I personally seem to like tallow better - but maybe it's just because I would rather work with tallow than with lard. So - which do you like better ... and more importantly, why?

OK - so I tried to rescue my goat milk honey failure soap. (See other thread.) Of the 3 options I gave myself this morning, I decided to rebatch. Silly me, got my T. & oz. mixed up and I added WAY too much liquid. :oops: The good thing is that it's smooth. The bad thing is that it's too soft...

That's true. Freeze milk and it turns yellow. When it's thawed, the cream never goes back into the milk properly (at least with cow milk). That's why it's not real feasible to freeze your excess milk for the 'lean' times. It's just not the same after freezing it.

Yep - next time more liquid for sure. The whole batch is a crumbled mess - took it out of the mold this morning and it's all crumbles - looks like graham cracker crumbs! :problem: Seven - yep ... methinks 50/50 is the way to go from now on. If I did CP, then maybe not but with HP ... I think...
