I use a stainless steel soup pot too. What I do is get another pot, fill it part way with water, and boil. Then I insert the pot with the soap batter, I cook 40/45 mins for a 53 oz mold. The more the soap batter the longer the cooking time, and the smaller the batch the shorter the cook time.

It is a lot of work! Most soapers don't have a crew to set up shop, which requires loading and unloading car and set up displays. Then there's the making of soaps and things, the set up, the recipe, and the clean up. Plus the packaging/wrapping. And the list goes on. It takes a lot of energy...

I use stretch wrap from costco. I cut enough to wrap slightly once and stretch, its food wrap and looks good.
