No, you're absolutely right, grinding down the soap itself! I say grinding instead of shredding because the soap itself is that hard that it crumbles almost to dust! I tried using it in the bath, but couldn't seem to get much lather at all (and it left a LOT of scum) won't be doing that again...

I only ever looked on amazon/eBay, but had bought Candelilla wax just before that, so I'm waiting to use it all up before buying anything else! And I don't I'm afraid, one day I will though, I've heard great things about it!

I'm also looking at the wax for lotion bars, but never heard of it being a palm oil substitute! How interesting - I hope someone with some experience with this replies (and I'm so sorry if getting a notification of this reply got your hopes up! :D)

Oh the scent has been massively misbehaving, it likes to disappear and reappear randomly it seems! Have you noticed the same scent-eating properties in brine bars? That looks to be my next thing to try. I just love how hard these salt bars are but can't stand how they look!
