For a hanger swirl, can I use an actual hanger? I am looking to use one of those coated wire hangers. Is this safe? Any suggestions of what to use?

I am considering selling eventually.... I think the vibe I got from her didn't help once I realized she was jipping customers. I will probably let it go and hope that people see that my bars are much bigger than hers for the same price (or cheaper) :)

This mold is a nine bar mold (I use 37.5oz oils) so I dont think that is too large. Can you recommend an individual mold you like?

I am putting the mold in the freezer beforehand, then after with the soap in it. I just find it hard to believe that every recipe is so prone to gelling. I love the way non-gelled soap looks (more creamy imo) and that is why I got this slab mold....

I have tried multiple batches of soap in my acrylic slab mold (after the GM soap that partially gelled) and I still keep getting a partial gel. It isn't too noticeable after I unmold it, but I can see it... Things I have tried: -tried non-"hot" recipes (no milk, sugar, etc) -freezing mold...

I can't help with the recipe because I am such a newb but could it be your water? I know I can tell a difference in the lather of the same soap when I use it at home vs when I use it at say the beach (with softer water I think). Maybe try lathering up with some distilled to see if that is an issue.

The buds will brown?! Bummer! I iust bought tons of buds to decorate my lav soap....

Well I think I am ok with the discoloration. It is a vanilla fragrance and I was going to keep a portion of it the color it wants, add td to another portion and add cocoa to another portion and swirl these colors. I was hoping i could get the color to lighten a bit so you can see the different...

My hubby calls it Citrus Sunrise :-)

If I use a fragrance oil that says it discolors to a dark tan, can I offset that by adding titanium dioxide to it? Or any other colorant for that matter?

My newest creation. I used brambleberry's energy scent so it smells like Smarties :-)

The mold I have came with specific instructions not to CPOP because it might warp, so next batch I will just insulate next time and let it gel. I might also try putting mold in the freezer before and after pouring.

Here is today. I think it is done but I might give it a bit longer. The partial gel isn't as pronounced so I think I can live with it :-)

I covered with a quilt in our warm bathroom and am making myself wait til tomorrow to check it. Thanks for the replies. Will update tomorrow :-)
