If your HOA has a clothesline ban, it may actually be illegal for them to have that ban. Many states have a "right to dry" law: http://daily.sightline.org/2012/02/21/clothesline-bans-void-in-19-states/ So check to see if your state is on the list.

Ground ginger if added directly to the soap (instead of an infusion) has left a light scent of ginger that I've noticed. For the others, I haven't noticed anything. I haven't used mustard either though. Also, I usually infuse my herbs/spices in oil, strain them & use the colored oil in soap...

I doubt you'll see much of a difference in your soap. I've used organic coconut oil & regular coconut oil 76 and noticed absolutely no difference in the soap after it cured, so I stuck with the cheaper coconut oil 76

Kentish Rain smells just like it does out of bottle as it does after curing, except just a smidge lighter. It's definitely not an herbal smell though. It's a clean, grass/floral like scent, with a hint of ozone. Maybe something with a little rosemary in it? Or a bamboo grapefruit?

References. Ask for the contact info/name of a few of their other wholesalers and/or former wholesalers, so you can ask them questions about the retailer, like "Are there problems with being paid on time?" or "Have you had any problems with them?", etc.

The 5 for $20 is a great selling point at shows & markets. I can't tell you how many times I've had someone pick out 2 soaps and were only going to buy those 2, then they see the 5 for $20 sign and they end up getting the 5 instead.

Before buying a book, check your local library. They might have it.

Wow, that seems pretty low. Have you figured out your actual costs (supplies, labels, insurance, electricity, etc.) and are going by those? Or are you just going by what you see others sell them at? My 4-5 oz bars of soap I sell for $5 or 5 for $20 & get told that I'm selling too low LOL

If it's a fragrance oil, then honestly they might smell the same or they might not. It all depends on the manufacturer. I definitely know that Aztec's Sandalwood does not smell like sandalwood. I have a small bottle of it & it smells like a mix between baby powder & old lady perfume. I've...
