What soapy thing have you done today?

GWW I know I lived a sheltered life because I had never used a bath bomb - until I made some (!) - and, I hadn't heard of shampoo or conditioner bars either! I too would like to try making some as I've had some clients asking........... so, you are NOT alone! ;)

    Goat Milk Soap

Hi & Welcome aboard! I'm kind of a closet watcher on this list and I can tell you, everyone is friendly and extremely helpful! I make goat milk soap and, I use fresh milk, not frozen. I had the same issue when I started a few years ago. I found it just plain easier to use fresh milk as there...

A little bath bomb help? Not fully hardening?

Great info everyone! I'm just now starting to make bath bombs. I'm in the Northeast (Vermont) so not a ton of humidity here. Made one batch using Cada molds...... had some luck but not 100%. I think my mix was drying out on me. This will take some time to learn! I did have luck with the steamer...

    Eucalyptus frost

I agree with everyone - keep it! Make a note of the color change and use that knowledge (of color) when you design your next batch! This is what I do. I always try to stay as natural as possible but add mica for n accent onto whatever color my base soap might end up. Yes, I do test batches for...

Orange scented soap (two part question)

Beautiful looking soap! I've used 10x in the past in my goat milk soap. I didn't add color as I knew the soap would color from the 10x. The scent didn't hold very well for me! 10x soaped easily - with no issues but, I have since started using Orange Blossom from candle science and the scent is...

What soapy thing have you done today?

I was playing with some new molds earlier this week. I've had an itch to try some Flower Pot soap. Well the base came out ok as did my embeds but some of the base I used as frosting was a failure. It may have been the humidity. So instead of Flowers on my pots I put these cute babies! And the...

What soapy thing have you done today?

I'm a closet watcher! But, I'm daring to show everyone a picture of my Raspberry High Top Goat Milk soap. I just started piping soap so it's not perfect! Made this on July 9th. Going unmold later today and cut. I'm praying my colors haven't morphed and the swirl came out!

Milk Soap - When to unfridge it?

I'm not a pro but, 99% of the soap I make is goat milk soap. I had a lot of bad soap in the beginning - there was no one to ask for help! So, I fumbled around until something worked. Today, this works for my recipe - I always mix my lye with my water. That's in a water bath with ice until it's...

    Dupe for RE barbershop 1920 ? ? ?

I LOVE Old Time Barbershop from Bulk Apothecary. It's a huge seller and the scent lasts. It will discolor to a light tan but the color works for us!
